Footwears are items worn on the foot. It can be shoe, sandals, canvas, sneakers etc. it is also an item for clothing intended to protect and comfort the human foot. Footwears are generally called shoes. It has different varieties it varied enormously through time, and from culture to culture, with form originally tied to functions.

Though the human foot can adapt to varied terrains and climate conditions, it is still vulnerable to environmental hazards such as hard rocks and temperature extremes which shoes protect against. Some shoes are worn as safety equipment, such as steel-toe boots which are required footwear at industrial work site.

Sneakers

Additionally, fashion has often dictated many design elements such as whether shoes have very high heels or flats ones. Footwears varies widely in style to suit different occasions and activity. For instance, we have flat and fluffy slippers worn indoors for comfortability and easy or swift and careless movements in the house, actually it’s very comfortable for house chores and household activities.

Also, there are boots designed specifically for mountaineering or skiing, while others have more generalized usage such as sneakers which have transformed from a special purpose sport shoe into a general use shoe.

Footwears varies widely in style to suit different occasions and activity.

Just like clothing, footwears were originally made to protect the human feet from hazardous and harsh weather, though history has it that shoes might have been used long before 7000 or 800BC, but because the materials used were highly perishable, it is difficult to find evidence of the earliest footwear. The earliest designs were very simple in design, often mere footbags of leather to protect the feet from rocks, debris and cold. As civilization began to develop, thong sandals were worn. It was worn in Jerusalem during the first century of the Christian era. Thong sandals were by many civilizations and made from a wide variety of materials.
